It's Alive-
For those of you that are unaware of what I am talking about my father has rebuilt his Enzo.
The MM Enzo that is.
Why MM? Many miles.
In the beginning the idea was to put as many miles on the super-car as possible. And he did... My dad drove the daylights out of the car. This is not a vehicle many drive, it was a limited edition, only 399 were allocated and then the owners were hand picked by Ferrari. Most of these infamous cars sit in garages.
Why is this important?
Dreams for this machine were big.
Success' were well-known and many accomplishments were noted.

{Picture shown: is of the modification to the Enzo. If you read the article linked above you already know that no modifications were made to the vehicle just to the EXTRA set of doors that he purchased from the factory. For the purist out there, Richard being one himself would not modify perfection. He is a targa\spider kind of guy and by making interchangeable targa doors he could have the best of both worlds}
But on
August 2, 2006
Our worlds were rocked
The Enzo was totaled...
There is one accurate story about the crash that was told by my father and featured in Road and Track magazine but I can not find the link on the Internet anywhere.
So what happened?
Like I said I cannot find his accounts online but this link describes the accident and event. Most forums were not accurate. It has been said that he lost control at 100+ miles an hour. In all actuality he was going 206 mph, hit some swells in the road, car went airborne, and rolled 7 times.
Well Folks...
The Enzo no longer rests in pieces it has been rebuilt and has been deemed by readers as the TT Enzo {TT standing for twin turbo} Articles on the rebuild and plans for the TT Enzo found here. {the only accurate sources on any forum are Kevin Marsh and Shane Tecklenburg}
One of dad's many mantra's is:
A man's got to get back on his horse
He has been saying this as long as I can remember.
Who would have thought that his was red, had a black stallion on the hood, and over 900 horseys under it?
Why is this shot significant?
This was the first time he has worn a helmet since the crash
Bonneville Salt Flats 2010
I am so proud of my dad!
The vision that he has and had with the MM ENZO are nothing short of amazing.

Your wonderful dad is "protected" by his faith, God knew his life was not to end, he has such a loveable family, his life is so rich. I had never seen those terrible pictures of the Enzo Ferrari, nor the article with some nasty comments. Say a big "bonjour" to your dad (and mom too of course) whom Imet in 2009 thx to Bob and Di. Lots of love from Aix en Provence.
your dad has one NICE "horse"! I still remember the day four years ago when I heard the awful news! I'm so so happy for him!!
