Christmas was a huge success. We spent the night at home and had to wake Grace up. It was a great day filled with TONS of family. We were all exhausted as shown in the picture below.

Kids Village Halloween Program

On Wednesday the kids dressed up and did a little Halloween Program at their school. I as alway thought it was darling and got a huge laugh out of Grace. If I figure out how to post a video I will. She sang louder and about a word of from the entire class. Cash on the other hand knew all the words and was just sweet and handsome as usual.

The Surgery

The past two weeks have been a wee bit different. For a relatively healthy home a shoulder surgery opened many eyes! The story goes... Mr. Ace started feeling pain in his left shoulder about a month ago. It was so painful he encountered many sleepless nights (not normal). On Thursday the 6th of October he had an x-ray and the doc found a deposit of calcium on his rotator cuff. Which lead to surgery on the 13th. It was crazy! The surgery is ranked one of the top 5 most painful surgery's due to the nerves that bundle in the shoulder. The out come was great they got all of the calcium removed and then put a suture in the tendon where the calcium had eaten through the rotator cuff. The worst part for him was coming out of the anesthesia unfortunately he gets violently ill. Needless to say he was and is a champ. The kid to this day has not complained once. With a successful surgery there is now a successful recovery.

Mr. Ace spent a week at home recovering. I cannot remember the last time he was home with nothing on his agenda. It was such a nice time for he and I. The first night he was home my parents were kind enough to take the kids because we were not sure what the night or morning was going to entail. Truth to be told it was great. Great to for us, great for our relationship. I think parents often times get so focused on caring for their children that they forget to care for their spouse. We get caught up in the day to day grind and by the time lights are out we have not said a word to each other or shared any affection towards one another. We woke up the next morning and spent 3 hours shooting the breeze about life, goals, new interests, memories, and excitement of our new little one. Another thing was he needed me, he need my help, and best of all he let me! He let me help him and care for him. It was such a great week for the kids and I we feel SO spoiled we got to be home with daddy all week. It may not have been as great from him but I would sure do it again.

Buds Pumpkin Patch

It has been tradition for five years now to go to Bud's pumpkin patch on 1600 North in Orem. We always try to go on family night with our buddies the Rueckert's. This year did not disappoint. The kids had a great time finding the pile that was just their size and selecting their "perfect" pumpkin. I thought it was cute that C and G both to a minute to select tiny pumpkin for their brother to be.

What a great weekend. We spent most of it together. Sunday we got up and had some killer cinnamon raisin french toast, berries, and cream. Delish.

Side note... Notice Grace's face and pony tail? This child couldn't careless when she has food all over her face, in her hair, and two extremely sticky hands! It makes me crazy but to each their own. I just hope she starts to care by her first date or that will be an interesting event!

These two are quite the team! They share a similar humor which is great for Cash and I because they make us laugh often. I love the relationship and friendship that they have. There is no one greater in a your girls eyes than her daddy!

Halloween crafts

The other day I need to go pick up a few items at the craft store. C, G, and I happened to find some pretty great stuff. C was so excite that right when we got in the door he said, "Mom could you please open our stuff, I would really like to get crafting." I chuckled and found that pipe cleaners and fuzzy balls are a great sitter. The kids played with them for quite some time!

1919 ~ 2011

Florence Huntington Bullock Ragan passed away September 15, 2011 incident to age. She was born in Springville, Utah on March 2, 1919, to Orral Race and Golda Martha Buell Huntington.

She grew up on a farm and was educated in Springville schools. Her values of hard work and dedication were instilled while she milked cows and bailed hay. She was determined to leave the farm and succeed in the business world and that she did! At an early age of 17-years-old, Florence was always a business woman and a terrific sales person. She lived in Provo, worked at ready-to-wear clothing stores and managed stores such as Steven's and Lerner's. She started the jewelry business, Bullock's Jewel Box, on November 11, 1956 which evolved into Bullock and Losee Jewelers.

She married George Afton (Joe) Bullock on January 6, 1942 in Provo, Utah. He passed away of cancer on February 21, 1968. She had two daughters, JoAnn B. Losee and Judy B. Stratton. She married Bradley E. Ragan of Spruce Pine, North Carolina on November 3, 1969. She lived for 12 years in Spruce Pine, North Carolina and traveled to many countries in the world with Brad. He passed away in a private plane crash at Utah Lake in Provo on December 21, 1979.

Florence Ragan was a high-spirited, self-motivated business woman whose reach and influence extended to many. She was a charter member of the Riverside Country Club that evolved from the original Radar Club of the 1940's. She provided the financing for the Riverside Country Club for many years. She has always been extremely active and supportive to many local civic and community organizations. She was a firm believer in helping those that put forth their effort and she would do the rest. She was very encouraging to have a good education and felt it necessary in today's world. She was awarded an Honorary Degree at UVU (UVCC) and served on their Foundation Board, as well as others. The UVCC announced the "Florence B. Ragan Endowment Scholarship Fund." She was a classic, style leader, and a positive influence in downtown Provo and wherever she went.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Mrs. Ragan lived by her motto that what you don't spend, save, but remember to help someone on the way. She loved and played a good game of golf, traveled with friends on excursions all over the world and thoroughly enjoyed her family. Once you met this remarkable woman you never forgot her.

Florence is survived by daughters JoAnn B. Losee (Richard D. Losee) and Judy B. Stratton (W. Mensel Stratton), both of Provo; brother Frederick O. Huntington (Carol Kuhni) of Provo; 4 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 23, 2011 at the Berg Drawing Room Chapel, 185 East Center, Provo. Friends may call at the mortuary one hour prior to services. Interment will be in the Provo City Cemetery.

What a day, week actually. It happened to be a week that we as a family were able to gather and celebrate the amazing and accomplished life of our grandmother. Family members came from across the nation to be at the ceremony. It was sweet and memorable. My grandmother was tenacious, feisty, brilliant, and loved me. I loved her and it is a true honor to be her granddaughter.

These pictures are very out of focus because I got a new lens and was fiddling around with it. Too bad because I think the kids faces are priceless. My oldest brother turned 35 a few weeks ago and asked if I would make his cake. Spice cake with cream cheese frosting none the less and it didn't disappoint. The kids and I had a blast. Well the kids had a blast. My OCD kicked in about half way through the third egg crack and they had to be dismissed.

30 Weeks

What an exciting day and fun time of year! I was happy to see that these two were excited about going back to school. I always found my self really board by mid August and school was always a good remedy. C and G will be heading back to Kids Village where Ms Raya and Ms Valerie will be their teachers.

The main reason we went to San Diego was because my first cousin Alex got married. We were really happy that we got to take part in such a wonderful day. The bride and groom were stunning and the day was absolutely perfect. The temple was even more beautiful in person than in pictures!

We stayed in a beach house right on the beach. Again, it was a lot colder than I had expected but the kids had a blast. They played in the sand for 3 straight days.

We ended the summer with a road trip to San Diego.

We were fortunate enough to attend my cousin Alex's wedding while we were down there.

The week was great minus the major cold I came down with but all in all it was a great time spent with my ENTIRE family.

Grace is an expert traveler at this point. She and Cash both did great considering it is an 11 hour drive.

I don't consider myself a glass half empty type of gal but sometimes I fail to look on the bright side. Point in case, Today for my lunch break I "quickly" went to the distribution center. I don't know if it was because it was Friday or because it was lunch time regardless, the place was a zoo! I mean humans gone wild. I was frantically trying to grab my {favs}, with many others, as I felt my blood pressure rise along with my anxiety level. I slowly backed away and as I was doing so a friend I have not seen in years called my name. I hugged her and made the comment, "this place is crazy today." Her response was..., "Isn't great! Look how many members there are!". She had no idea the impact that her simple comment on me. I have repeated it many times through out the day and just thought how refreshing it sounded. I would like to be more like her. If that is more optimistic, more glass half full. I don't know but it sure sounded nice!

Cash got invited to his first ever "no parent" birthday party and this little lady was DEVASTATED. She cried at the door for a few minutes. I guess the thought of just her and I sounded awful, until I came up with the bright idea to hit up the nail salon. As you can see by photos below it was a smashing hit. G and I had a blast. I am very excited and hopeful for many more days like this!

Happy Pioneer Day

The 24th of July has become a really fun Holiday for our whole family. My parents live right outside of a small town by the name of Wallsburg. It is darling, it feels like you are away from the city but it doesn't take to long to get there. We started the morning with traditional Wallsburg parade filled with four wheelers, bikes, gators and the occasion tractor and sheep headers trailer (awesome). We the spent the afternoon playing games, riding horses, playing on the play ground, and riding the mechanical bull. The evening ended at Nan and Pops surround by close friends and family.

I have been reminiscing a lot this month of his life and the joy that he has brought to me and our entire family. Cash is sweet and smart. Kind and funny. Mellow and a killer athlete. He has grown a lot over the last year and really become one cool kid. He had his first "big" kid party this year at Nickle City which happened to be a huge hit. I am so proud of this kid and am really excited to see him grow over the next year!

I have said this a million times and I will say it a million more... This gal has a personality of her own. I have never seen another like her. I remember hearing parents say, "He or she, meaning their children were just born that way." I thought, how ridiculous is that. Before I had kids of my own I thought they could be molded to my liking. Well folks... Grace was just born that way! And even though she keeps our hands full we wouldn't have it any other way!

The Asay's started what has turned out to be an awesome tradition. It originated about 5 years ago and has become something that our family looks forward to on the eve of July 4th. We all get on scooters\motorcycles and throw candy to all the campers on the freedom festival parade route. This year there were upwards of 50+ scooters and it was Cash's first ride. He had a blast and threw the candy like a champ!

On Friday night we went to the Oakely Rodeo. We stopped first at Dairy Keen, the kids all jammed on the train while we forced food into their bellies. I swear getting kids to eat is quite the feat when they are with their buddies. We then proceeded to Oakley and let me tell ya it was a blast. We were surrounded by friends and family. My most favorite part was at the very beginning, six rodeo gals came out on six gorgeous horses each holding and waving high the American flag. My heart was pounding and my pride of being an American was at an all time high!

A big thanks to Gledhill family for letting us in on such an awesome tradition. It is one that we hope to carry on throughout the years.

Hike #2 of the Season

We have tried this summer to dedicate Monday nights to the outdoors. Something we don't do as much as we should. Utah and Utah county for that matter have so many gorgeous sites that we definitely take for granted. Last week we hike the Y and this week we choose Stewart Falls. It was beautiful! Breath taking views and gorgeous greenery. Grace commentated the ENTIRE route while Cash didn't make a peep. They really are such troupers and great hikers!

Our first hike of the season was "Y" mountain. It was our second annual hike. The kids did awesome! We followed up the hike with burgers and shakes. It was a great family hike.

Okay let's be honest this gal has been a "big girl" for quite some time! I am just an odd duck when it comes to cribs! I love cribs! The idea of her not being able to climb out of something is awesome. Unlike her brother, who never climbed out of his crib, EVER. Miss G. Started a few short months ago. She was so excited about her new accomplishment that she was climbing out as early as 5:30am. Seeing as Mack nor myself are morning people we decided that on her 3rd birthday she would get a "big girl" bed.

June 4th, 2011

If you can't handle blood this may not be the post for you!

A few Saturdays ago Mackay and I were out on a date celebrating him turning the big 32... I looked at my phone and had 4 text's and 2 missed calls from the kids sitter. After a brief phone call and quick drive home, we arrived to a calm Cash with what appeared to be a bullet hole in his head!

I was standing at our neighbors door before I even knew what was happening. Dr. Rich answered, I showed him the wound and he was gracious enough to take us to his office and stitch C up. It was such a painless experience for all of us including Cash. He was such a champ! Didn't make a fuss. (expect for a minimal cry when they injected the numbing needle.) All a big thanks to Dr. Rich for being so kind and helpful and two big thumbs up for the kid who now adorns a scar that rivals Harry Potter.

Our good friend Claire was in town a few weeks ago and came over for breakfast. G and C were enamored by her. They had to show her their rooms, play room, yard and whatever else they could think of! They loved her stories and we miss her already.

It has been a world wind of events at our home lately and I am so behind but determined to get caught up. First the littles graduated for Kids Village... again. Grace made it out of little sprouts and Cash out of sweet pea. They both had a fantastic year. They both grew and learned so much. If any of you out there are looking for the best school around... Kids Village is your place. They are so sweet with each of the kids and their program is spectacular.

Along with Disney we decided to spend a couple of days in Newport. It was possible my favorite part of the trip. These two kiddos had a blast and so did I. Who knew that sand could be a full time babysitter. Brilliant and free! A tad bit messy but who cares!

Our family along with some friends headed down to California the first week in May. It was a really nice week filled with family. I cannot remember the last time I was with my children for a 7 days straight no work and no interruptions. We all had a great time and this kids\husbands were are all great travelers and good sports!

Easter has always been one of my most favorite holidays for many reasons... as a young child one of my fondest memories was gathering around my grandmothers kitchen to dye eggs. It was a special day that I looked forward to all year. The following Saturday we would head down to the farm for our annual hunt. The eggs were spread over what seemed to be acres and the memories will stay with me forever. I have tried to carry these same traditions with my family and thus far it has been a success. This past weekend has been filled with egg hunt, candy hunts, and a whole lot of colored eggs.

Grace was very excited to head to Grammy and Grampys for the candy hunt. She was most excited to play with her cousin Lily!

Easter Sunday Morning Right before the egg hunt. Cash was really happy and "KNEW" the Easter bunny would bring him something great!

Say Cheese! This is what I get lately when I pull out the phone or camera. They both want to be in the photo but neither of them want to look at the apparatus. So here it is... two dang cute kids, saying cheese, looking anywhere but into the lens!

I hope your St. Patty's day was a swell as ours! Cash got a hoot out of the whole pinching thing. Until I told him that if he double pinched or pinched someone wearing green then he gets pinched 10 times! He also was very soft! He kept on telling me he was using his "especially soft pinchers!" Oh yeah and don't mind Grace's hair. It was in soft rollers not and electrical socket! Honest!

Last night Mr. Ace informed me that I have not updated the family blog in awhile. Truth is not only have I been busy but I have not taken many photo's as of late! I have a few fun projects in the works which I will post soon but for now... Just a dump off the old Iphone.

Miss. G has been dancing a ton and loving it! She attends fairytale ballet at the dance club and it is one of the most darling things I have seen. This week she was Sebastian from Little Mirmade. Only problem was she could not keep those darn claws on.

A few weeks ago I spent the week in LA and this was the view from my bedroom window. A straight shot of the Los Angeles LDS temple. It was quite the site each morning. Absolutely Breath taking. It has become one of my most favorite temples. Why? Amongst all of the LA chaos lay a peaceful, clean, and spiritual temple.

A few weeks back Mackay and I got to go to New York with my brother, his wife, and my parents. It was such a fun trip. It was nice to reconnect with Mackay, eat food, and go to some spectacular plays. It was a fun vacation and the only thing more fun than going is coming home. We missed our kiddos. Absence does make the heart grow fonder!

Grace started dance in the beginning of January. I started her in a little bit older class and it was simply not the right fit for her at age 2.5. The teacher suggested we start her in Fairytale Ballet and so we did. And it is absolutely magical. She loves Mrs. Bethany and is really enjoying the class. It is such a neat concept for tiny little princess'. It is an 8 week course and they to two princesses in each course. This month happens to be Snow White, hence the which costume. It is darling and Grace and I are both enjoying it!

Are you as sick of seeing our Christmas card as I am? I didn't even realize that I had not posted Christmas yet. I am further behind then I had thought. Christmas morning was spent at my parents. It was really fun to have the kiddos wake up with their cousins and run down and to see what Mr. Clause had brought them. They were all very very good and the morning was actually really nice and relaxing.

They hopped right on his knees chatted up a storm told him all about their favorites and asked politely for one item each. Then Grace asked him all about his glasses, belt, and beard and to top it off they both got candy canes. It was a great memory one I will treasure for years to come!

Well, it's been a few days folks and let me tell ya it has been amazing!

I felt like a kid in school again soaking up every precious minute of Thanksgiving break. I cannot remember the last time I had 4 consecutive days off with no where to be but with my kiddos at home! Thanksgiving was incredible spent with a hubby that had the day off (big deal)! We were with his family this year and his momma makes a mean meal. Friday C, G, and I were sicker than dogs and we spent most the day on the couch watching Christmas movies and playing Supper Mario. Saturday I felt much better and headed out with my Momma B* to get some Christmas shopping in before heading to TANGLED with the ENTIRE family. (Must Must see movie!) Then to top it all off I woke up to this winter wonderland which is the perfect kick off to begin the Christmas season.

I love this picture of C. He and I decorated this train this morning. He did a great job. All of the sudden my baby boy is a boy. And a good one!

On behalf of the Lodge and our Staff we just wanted to take a moment and give thanks.

In a time when so many are without shelter, we give thanks for the roof over our head. At a time when

so many suffer from hunger and starvation, we give thanks for the bountiful blessings that have been

laid upon our tables. At a time with so much loneliness and isolation we give thanks for our family and

for the fellowship. At a time when so many suffer from a lack of direction or purpose, we give thanks

for opportunity to be of service. And mostly in a time when so many suffer from the incomprehensible

demoralization that is associated with alcohol and addiction, we give thanks to that power greater

than ourselves that has lead us from the devastation. That power that has lead us to each other and to

sobriety!

Cash and Grace are having a Turkeyday feast at their school tomorrow. They each were asked to make 25 treats for school to share with their buddies. We made cornbread muffins with honey butter. I love these pictures because they were really working together.

A homemade Christmas

Holidays in my home growing up were filled with real Christmas tree's, evergreen and flocked. Mom always did flocked with some pretty colored lights and Grandma and Grandpa Losee always did evergreen with red, gold, green, and blue lights. That was Christmas to me. When Mr. Ace and I got married he informed me that Christmas was "green, red, and white" and seeing as he is not really Mr. opinionated and he was forming an opinion on this matter I succumbed. I am happy I did Christmas has been white lights with red and green accents on a "fake" tree. And a gorgeous one might I add. I have loved this tree and it currently sits our front window.

but...

This year I got a hair brain idea to do a homemadeish tree

(never done it before... pretty cool!)

At this point.. 3 hours later if I had to look at another pop of corn I was going to go crazy!

Usually Mr. Ace and I really get into the Halloween spirit. We actually get a huge kick out of dressing up. But this year we were not feeling it! Nothing good was coming to mind. Until... Friday night. I thought well I could dress up like him and he like me. So obviously I would wear his favorite article of clothing "spandex" and he could either wear my cheer outfit from high school or some zumba stuff that I have. The zumba stuff was funny so that was the plan. I guess I need to mention the our buddies the Rueckerts were doing the same thing. Sat morning I was talking to Tiff and she said she had decided to have Chris be Miss Provo which was she was years ago and then light went on and Mack ended up being the First Attendant like I was.

On Thursday Cash and Grace had their school party at kids village. It is something I have looked forward to all year. The school does such a good job putting together a darling singing program and then the parents get to join in for their class parties. Cash and Grace did so well. Last Friday Grammy and Grampy had a big shindig at the Barn. Of course there was a massive fire, hot dogs, and a spooky forest. They kids had a blast with their cousins and the adults loved the food. It was the perfect kick start to a fantastic Halloween week!

Fall Fire

A few weeks ago we went up to south fork canyon and enjoyed some friend and family time around the fire. It was small and fantastic. Although my dad and Mr. Ace feel into the creek, knee deep, on two seperate occassions... it was a really enjoyable time. One thing that I cannot believe is that we have not done this more than once. It will be a new tradition that I am already looking forward to!

We have been going to Bud's Pumpkin Patch for 4 years now. The patch is actually Buds front yard and is always a hit with the kids and Mr. Ace. Mr. Ace picks out his pumpkin first and spends the rest of the time chatting it up with Bud. (Mack always get a kick out of him) This year we met Carol, Buds wife, what a neat lady!

After we made our selections we headed to dinner, then home to the porch, to place our punkins!

Santa Monica 2010

Cirque Lodge's very own Gary Fisher was being honored for his, "Distinguished Service in the Treatment field"and it would have been an absolute shame to miss it ;) So Mom, Mr. Ace, my brother Rich, his wife Star, and I all went down on Thursday to support him.

I am not California's biggest fan but, I grew a greater appreciation for it this weekend. I didn't realize how close we were to the Santa Monica pier but it was a fun site to see!

Friday, we walked on the pier and shopped at the boulevard (hello H&M it has been so long!). Saturday, Mr. Ace and I walked along the beach to Venice beach, shocking and totally sureal, ate at some great cafes, and relished in our one on one time together. Sunday, Dad flew in and we all headed to Malibu for the 5th annual polo in the palisades event. Polo in the palisade is a fundraising event that the Promises foundation puts on for Miriam's house. Miriam's house is a refuge for indigent women and children. It was a humbling event. I was blown away with all of the people who came to support Gary and the foundation. He is a very loved man and a deserving one ta boot. He has given his life and continues to give to the recovering community.

It was such an honor to be there!

The Enzo is no longer resting in pieces

It's Alive-

For those of you that are unaware of what I am talking about my father has rebuilt his Enzo.

The MM Enzo that is.

Why MM? Many miles.

In the beginning the idea was to put as many miles on the super-car as possible. And he did... My dad drove the daylights out of the car. This is not a vehicle many drive, it was a limited edition, only 399 were allocated and then the owners were hand picked by Ferrari. Most of these infamous cars sit in garages.

Why is this important?

Dreams for this machine were big.

Success' were well-known and many accomplishments were noted.

There is one accurate story about the crash that was told by my father and featured in Road and Track magazine but I can not find the link on the Internet anywhere.

So what happened?

Like I said I cannot find his accounts online but this link describes the accident and event. Most forums were not accurate. It has been said that he lost control at 100+ miles an hour. In all actuality he was going 206 mph, hit some swells in the road, car went airborne, and rolled 7 times.

These two had their first day of school on Tuesday and I think it was a success. I was so excited for them I could not sleep and apparently they could not either. They usually sleep in till 9-10ish but they were both up between 7:45 and 8. I cannot even remember the last time all three of us were completely ready and out the door by 8:45. It actually felt good! Cash is so lucky he has his cousins Ace and Starli in his class. And Miss. G has a bunch of girlie's from our old neighborhood. I can't wait to see what this year holds for them.

Saturday morning we were fortunate enough to have Heather Telford capture our every day life through her lens. She was gracious, respectful, funny, and fabulous. She didn't ask us to do anything out of the ordinary, she just had us go about our daily business.

What Does b* say?

I am in awe with the way she portrayed the kids. There are many shots of G that are indescribable. She was able to capture her spunk and zest for life as well as her sweet tenderness and love for her mommy, daddy and brother. She also defined the indefinable friendship between C and Mr. Ace. For those of you interested in a lifestyle shoot or are looking for a stellar photographer I highly recommend Heather. The gal has got some serious talent and her passion is illustrated through her lens.

Fall Soccer

I was so excited to sign Cash up for fall soccer this year! Wednesday night Mr. Ace and Cash went out and got cleats and shorts. At the dinner table Cash made it very clear to G and I that we were not invited because what he and daddy were doing was tough guy stuff! Which was fine we stayed home and painted our nails! Mr. Ace said when Cash tried on his cleats he immediately started doing moves and was checkin them out {he got that from his dad}. Thursday was his first game he was one of two kids that scored a goal. We are so proud of him and hope he enjoys being part of his new team!

In the last four years I have not really thought of my babies as kids, until today. It was meet your teacher day at kids village and Grace and Cash both got to go! Gracie met Ms. Emily - she was so sweet. I am excited for Grace I think this will be a good time for her to get out of the house and socialize with other children. Cash met Ms. Rebecca he walked in there like an alum. knew where he was going, showed Grace around, and kept telling her "you don't have to be scared Grace I'll protect you!"

I am so proud of both of these kids! I feel so fortunate to be their mommy. I cannot believe that they are both in school. I am very excited that they get this opportunity to meet new friends and be challenged scholastically!

I kid you not, the kid can JAM! I don't know about you but 4 years old seems EXTREMELY young to be riding a bike with no training wheels. Two Sundays ago Cash saw his cousin riding without training wheels and insisted that he needed his off too. That night Mr. Ace took off his wheels and the rest was history. The first night took some getting use to and finding out his balance, but by Monday he was doing better and by Tuesday he had it! Another thing the kid is tough, he has had some nasty falls, bumps, and bruises but he hops up, yells "I'm okay" and carries on. I am so proud of him! 4 has been an age of milestones! Great job champ!

Birthday Month

This lucky kid has been celebrating his birthday all month long.

The Celebration continued last Sunday at Grandma and Grandpa Losee's home. They did one big cake as they always do. This month there were quite a few including Cash and his Pop.

These two are exactly 50 years apart.

I spent the morning of July 17th 2006 preparing food for over 100 people for my dad's big 50 year surprise birthday bash. That afternoon I had to head to the hospital to get my very inconvenient routine non-stress test. I thought I would be in and out and back to the festivities but this day was different. When I got done with the test the nurse said "I need to go get your doctor." Doc came in and said "lets go have a baby" It was 2:30 and there was no way. My response to the doc was... I have food for 100's all over my kitchen and living room. I need to get through this party can I come after. No problem. Mr. Ace and I got to enjoy the evening with friends and family and then we quietly left to hospital that night at 11:00. Cash Mackay was born July 18, 2006 at 2:49 and has change our lives!

Pioneer Day 2010

What a fantastic day!

It was jam packed with friends and family. First thing in the morning we headed over to the bates for a delicious breakfast bbq, right after we went to the barn for some fun in the sun! The kids swam till their hearts content and when I say kids that was everyone under the age of 60. Uncle Bryce, Uncle Taft and Mr. Ace had us laughing all afternoon and occupied the kids attention for hours as they went down the slide in the massive yellow boat! The boat was a HUGE hit! Around 3:30 we headed home for some R&R and to clean up then back to the barn for a gourmet grill out by Grampy. He grilled the best filet mignon I have ever tasted, veggie skewers, halibut and bacon wrapped scallops {I know really!} Then we ended the night with some games in the yard, vespaing and fireworks.

Perfect holiday.
